ART WITHOUT INTERPRETERS NOR INSTRUCTIONS
For Beatriz Esguerra Art, talent, intelligence, creativity and skill are values that define art. They are standards that transcend time, eschew trends and communicate with the audience without interpreters or complicated texts.
That is why at ARTBO 2015, Beatriz Esguerra Art will present artists Pedro Ruiz, Pablo Posada, Carlos Alarcon, Max Steven Grossman, Mario Arroyave and Juan Carlos Rivero-Cintra, whose works are governed by these criteria. Reflections on time, natural resources, displacements, and life’s contradictions are among the issues they address, issues with universal relevance that are presented with the artist’s own unique perspective. Enduring techniques such as painting, drawing, engraving, photography and sculpture are their chosen media as each of these artists maintains their commitment to a clear aesthetic while simultaneously exploring the potent ideas that drive their art.
We want our presentation at the fair to achieve two simple goals. First, that the public be able to approach the exhibited works, to understand and connect with them so they are able to leave the fair with a rich and fulfilling experience. Second, that the artists’ works remain imprinted with the viewer by communicating directly, resonating visually and emotionally, without the need of a dense treatise or complicated explanation to complete the experience.
Join us at ARTBO. We look forward to meeting you!
